After our recent pool outing, we headed across the street to the BMX track and skate park.

Benjamin borrowed our friend's scooter and really liked it....our boys have just about gotten all the use out of ours that they can.

My friend saw Jacob pick up the skate board and ride and she commented on how good he was. I told her he has the athletic gene and anything he does, he just looks like a natural. He is so fun to watch.

This kiddo has such a hard time keeping up with his shoes. We drove over an hour with our friends to the pool/skate park and about the time we arrived there, he informed me he did not have any shoes. He has about 5 pairs of shoes but he can never find one of them...or should I say he can't find both of them. Often times he can find one, but not the other. Socks, don't even get me started on his socks. I was shocked to see him walking across the field grass and then all over the BMX track barefoot.

It is not a good idea to take a bike to the BMX track with no air in the tires.

About 3/4 of a mile from us a new dollar store has opened up. The boys are beyond excited. I like it because if I need something in a pinch, they can ride over and get it for me. It has also encouraged them to earn a little more money because now they have someplace close enough to spend it, without needing a ride from mom.

I recently went down to the crawl space to get some chocolate. (I keep the chocolate down there so it is not as easily accessible, for everyone's sake). I had to hide the bags down there, so I put them in my sewing machine box, which had carrying handles built in. I opened it up and saw half eaten snickers bars and bags of chocolate chips and m&ms chewed on. Mice. Yuck. I guess they crawled through the handles because there was not a hole in the box. It sure bummed me out to throw out the Costco size bag of chocolate chips! Jacob and a neighbor friend have put mouse traps down there but we have not seen one yet. Not sure what they will do if they find on stuck on the trap.

Work continues to be busy for Jose. Lots and lots of projects, most of which keeps him outside, which he really enjoys. It is never the same for him and it seems like more and more people are approaching him about doing different things. He certainly has some job security!

Some friends are heading over for dinner, so time to clear the table!!
