A recent outing to a local pond. This kid amazes me how he can self entertain when he wants to. He sat in the sand or shallow water almost all of the time, just playing. The others spent more time out looking for turtles.

You can see how hazy things are here.  There are some big fires up in Canada and smaller ones near Glacier.  The smoke is drifting down.

We had a very quiet weekend. Nothing but church on the agenda. Will be getting ready to head out to the 3 day outdoor Christian music fest soon. The boys are really excited! I am hoping it will not be too terribly hot. I am really glad we have a house to stay at, after being outdoors for so long listing to music, I knew we would not want to be camping outdoors too. I am considering driving the Beartooth Highway on the way over. A few hours out of the way, but if we did it as a day trip, it would take close to a whole day.

Benjamin has gotten braces put back on his front 4 teeth. Jacob still is missing a tooth up front, I think it has been 6 months and the adult tooth has yet to drop down! We are heading to the doctor in a few weeks for shots. Seems that MT has now passed a law that everyone HAS to have the varicella vaccine (chicken pox). Jacob has had the chicken pox but I never took him to the doctor, so there is no written 'proof' of him having it. So, he has to get blood drawn that will supposedly show he has the antibodies, or whatever it is.

I have arranged our summer weeks so that any appointments are on Monday or Tuesday.  This frees us up to take day trips or spontaneous overnights if we want.  Hoping after our SD trip to spend the last 4 weeks of summer seeing some places within a few hours of here.
