that light and texture matters in pictures...
it is okay to get up close to your subject...
Deleting a picture on the camera is a bad idea, because you will never know what it will turn out like when you edit it....
you should not have too much shadow in the picture or you won't be able to see it very well....
Angles are good in a picture, but it can make it hard for people to quickly tell what the picture is...
It takes lots of pictures to come up with a good shot...
They had small point and shoot cameras. Here are three pictures that he took.
Local park
Pinecones (he likes this for all the shades of light)
At the fire station (he liked how the gear reflects the light and it looks like it glows)
Next Tuesday some of his pictures will be displayed for a National Guard reception!
