Here is a picture of the ranch where we stayed last weekend for the women's retreat.

Had a really nice time and met some wonderful ladies. The boys did great too! My friend actually told me that she would take them again. Always music to a mother's ears - especially when you are talking about boys!

Sundays soccer game was another success. They continue undefeated and J scored 3 goals!

The other day I walked into the boys room and found something similar to this....

My immediate response was mad! I took it all down and saw the big holes in the wall. I proceeded to reprimand Jbird. The more I thought about it, the more I realized I was wrong. Poor Jbird - usually does not mean any harm, he just does not think. The more I dwelt on it, the more I was impressed how he put it all up there and how level it was. I told JR about it later that night and he went back into the room and put it back up. The holes were already there, so why not leave it up. I did ask J to remember to ask me next time!

I went to the orthopedic doctor today. He said the finger looks great. Still swollen and stiff but he said it can take 6-12 months for that to go away. He gave me clearance to not hold back. Still can't straighten it and that probably bothers me the most.

The other morning as we were getting ready for church Jbird summoned me upstairs. This is what I found.

He was wanting to iron but could not figure out how to get the wrinkles out. We had Ironing 101 and I think he will do just fine as his hands get bigger.

A quiet weekend. Other than church and soccer, not much else going on. We did not get any of the snow they were predicting earlier in the week. Yay!
