This past weekend we got our friends' yard mowed and B completed his first ever 'job'.  It was hard to keep him focused as times, since it took us about 2 hours but he learned the value of hard work and doing a job right.  He had troubles on the corners with the mower and at times was disgruntled he had to go back and redo it, but the finished product looked really nice and they liked it.  As we were finishing up the front yard a storm was moving in.  We were not able to get the riding lawnmower out of the gate, so we had to push mow it.  I forgot how hard a push mower can be (something to be said about self-propelled mowers).  The wind was blowing, I was mowing and B and JB were running around trying to rake up all the grass.  We finished with a few minutes to spare!

On Friday JB had his end of the school year party.  Since the park was right next door to the boys' elementary school, the older two got out for lunch/recess and came to join us.  They had fun swinging.

The irrigation ditches are running by our house!  All the neighborhood kids have gravitated towards them already.  They are having all kinds of fun.

Trying to get together the last minute stuff for summer before the kids are out.  I find I do best when we have structure in our days, not to mention lists with ideas, so I am never at a loss of things to direct them to.
