Misc

The garage sale this past weekend went well. Between our family and the other family we made just under $500. I put a lot of time in to it this past week so our stuff was very organized. We even got comments from shoppers about how nice it was to look because everything was so organized. When we boxed stuff up, we only had about 6 medium size boxes!

My brother comes in for a long weekend this weekend. Him and JR are taking off to the backcountry for a couple of nights. Hope they don't get any snow - we have had some cool evenings.

Fluffy (bunny) has figured out how to escape from the back yard. All 4 times though she has come back. JR keeps fixing the holes but somehow she finds other ones.

Tomorrow my oldest niece gains her wings. She gets dropped off at Western Michigan. Hats off to my sister and brother-in-law for raising an incredible daughter. She will do well.

Several weeks ago I discovered some frugal living blogs. I have been reading up on couponing and how to really make it work - getting grocery bills down to $40-50 a week! I don't know that I will ever be that proficient, but today I went and bought 3 boxes of name brand cereal, 6 bottles (64oz) of Apple Juice, 4 boxes of granola bars and 2 Del-Monte ready to make fruit smoothies for only $7. I was quite excited, now I just need to work on stockpiling the coupons. Our local paper very seldom has coupons so I am having to be very creative about how to find them.

JB has perfected his high pitch squeal. He is so proud of himself! He continues to climb on anything he can find. J is down to about 2 potty accidents a week and most nights he is staying dry. Soccer starts tomorrow for B.

I love keeping up with you guys! You are very efficient, I'm sure couponing would work for you, but the "programs' I've seen I would waste several hours each week just getting it all ready and organized-time is money too. Hope it works for you though!
