The boys, Gaby and I are heading out to camp for a night and coming back for all the 4th festivities. Will have lots of pictures to share.

B's 10th birthday was a hit. He had a few boys over to spend the night. They had a huge water fight and then rode bikes down to the school to shoot hoops and play soccer. We had tacos and instead of the traditional cake, B wanted s'more bars with vanilla ice cream. Good selection. I had found a projector (that plugs into the Wii and DVD player) that projected movies up onto a screen. So, we hung a sheet in the garage and had our own little movie theatre. The boys really like it. The only down side, all the food brought ants. Oh well, small price to pay.

We have recently practiced our bi-annual fire escape. We have 2 - two story fire ladders. We have always dropped the ladder out the boys window. This time we dropped it out our window. This made it much harder because we are above the garage. So, the ladder did not have a wall to rest against and it swayed quite a bit. All the boys usually freak out the first time, then by the third time, they are good. Since Gaby was here to help (normally it is just me with the boys), I climbed down the ladder. Wow, much harder than I thought. It is one of those things that you have but hope you never have to use.

Off to camp....enjoy the 4th!
